- Juice from 1/2 a lemon
- A lemon squeezer
- Your favorite mug
- A means of making hot water – I use an electric tea kettle from Black + Decker. I easily turn mine on as soon as I get out of bed in the morning.
Lemon will do what it does best (cleansing, restoring, and hydrating your body) on an empty stomach, which is why you should drink it before drinking or eating anything else (more on this below!).
With my lemon squeezer, I’ll squeeze ½ a lemon into my hot water. This might seem like a lot to most, but I really enjoy the taste of lemon, so I tend to use a bit more!
